From December 14 to 21, 2023, our school was visited by a group of teachers and students from the Liceé Pierre Mendès in La Roche sur Yon (France). After the reception and first contact with teachers and students of our center, they visited our facilities and a had tourist tour around Crevillente.
In the following days they visited several local companies such as Artesa, specialized in fabrics for shoes, bags and fashion accessories, and Imperial, a leader in the manufacture of rugs and carpets. In addition to several work sessions and recreational activities in the town, they visited the city of Alicante, with its castle, archaeological site, and contemporary art museum, and enjoyed a Christmas concert, as well as the town of Jijona, famous for the making of “turron”, a typical Christmas sweet that is exported all over the world. In Crevillente they also had the opportunity to learn about the natural environment of the mountains and the local sustainable development agency, where the actions carried out for environmental conservation were explained. And given the proximity of Christmas, the Spanish students explained Spanish Christmas traditions and accompanied them to visit the Nativity scene and see the Christmas decorations in the church square and the city centre.
