Imagine bringing a stranger into your home and, for a week, taking care of him or her as if he or she were your son or daughter. Someone who is already grown up, who does not speak your language, who does not eat your food, does not share the same culture with you… imagine that that week you had to entertain them and participate in a lot of activities, and prepare them breakfast, and lunch, and dinner…
Well, in our school a lot of families offered to do exactly that and ten of them shared last week with a German child.
I can’t explain how grateful they were for the treatment they received. Our families have proven to be incredibly welcoming and generous. Thank you very much to all of you for your interest, your involvement, your commitment… and for being so great!! You are the best!!!
