The project aims at providing students with a deep understanding of some environmental problems. Students will work in mixed country groups and do activities in order to care for environmental issues as Air Pollution, Water Pollution, Soil Pollution, Noise Pollution, Light Pollution, Ocean Pollution, Forest Fires, Biodiversity Loss, Climate Change and Waste Management. They will search about the causes, effects and possible solutions to the problems of their group and prepare a collaborative presentation. They will also write scenarios regarding the problems and act out short plays.
THE AIMS OF THE PROJECT:
- to provide students with a deep understanding of some environmental problems
- to raise awareness of pressing environmental issues within the school community and beyond through artistic performance and multimedia dissemination
- to foster effective, cross-cultural collaboration necessary for producing shared, high-quality creative work
- to develop writing skills in English
- to develop communication skills in English
- to develop digital skills
THE EXPECTED RESULTS:
- Students will be aware of environmental issues to a great extend
- Ss will develop communication and writing skills in English
- Ss will develop digital skills
- Ss will improve their collaborative working skills
- Ss will improve their performance skills
At the end of the project a digital book, a collaborative acrostics poem (which will be converted into a song and sung together) and a collaborative short plays series will be prepared.
