We are primary school for students aged 3-12 in Els Poblets, Alicante. We’re just a 60 minute car ride away from Valencia or Alicante!
We have done two Erasmus projects (K229) focused on students aged 10-12. Our most recent one, “keep your water clean,” was coordinated by us with schools from Poland, Greece, Slovenia, and Turkey. We’ve been in this project for 36 months (with an extra 12 due to COVID-19), and our common goal during these three years has been emphasizing the importance of water. We’ve incorporated it into our school curriculum and we went with five students on international trips for 7 days, where they stayed with host families and we did activities related to the topic.
By the way, this year, we proudly received the Erasmus Accreditation, and these are our five objectives that we’ll be working on through mobilities, job-shadowing, and learning courses:
1. Inclusion (providing opportunities to all students)
2. Technology (we’re eager to explore various educational apps and establish a Future Classroom Lab)
3. Language (boosting both students’ and teachers’ English language skills)
4. Teaching and Learning activities using diverse methodologies (like co-working, project-based learning, and cooperative learning)
5. Environmental awareness (focusing on Sustainable Development Goals) the green flag…
Our main school project this year is dedicated to the fifth objective. “ROLLING ON SUSTAINABLE WHEELS” We’ll be concentrating on using bicycles as the primary mode of sustainable transportation, organizing excursions, establishing safe routes, promoting sports, fostering healthy habits, and addressing other topics that come to mind.
We are currently seeking a school with similar educational aims or situated in comparable circumstances, aiming to collaborate on projects of this nature.
Moreover, we are keen on instituting an international exchange week program. The proposal involves our visit to your school for a week, engaging in activities aligned with our mutual objectives. Subsequently, we extend an invitation for your school to spend a week in Spain, where we will organize activities reflective of our objectives.
During this proposed exchange, our students would be accommodated by host families from your school, and reciprocally, we would host your students within our families when you visit us.
