Topic 4. Plants in agriculture

Hello everyone!

We start a new unit, UNIT 4: PLANTS IN AGRICULTURE. Are you ready to start and learn new exciting things? Let’s start and please carry out the following activities for this week from 23rd of March to 27th of March.

• First draw a nice title of the unit in your notebook – be creative, please!  and do the KWL chart (What I know, What I want to know, What I have learnt). If you have forgotten how to do it, check previous units of your notebook.

•  Read p.52 and 53 “Plant nutrition and interaction”. Do exercises A, B, C and D in your notebook.

• Watch this interesting video that it might help you to understand how plants make their own food https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xeYNnzwpSE

• Read p.54 “Plants reproduction” and carry out activities A, B, C and exercise 1 check what I know in your notebook.

• Watch the following video regarding parts of flower and pollination https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djPVgip_bdU

• Now it is time to be creative again. Draw a big flower in your copy, then decorate it with colours or other materials (felt tips, coloured papers, etc) and label the parts of the flower (in English!). Check page 54 if you need some help. Here you have some ideas:
