Semana del 30 al 3 de Abril
Good morning, welcome to our second week online!
We are going to continue working with DECIMAL NUMBERS. So you must be able to subtract correctly before moving to multiplication and division. Also, please remember that any whole number can be writen as a decimal.
Example:
9 = 9,0
9 = 9,00
- So to practise this, go to your book Class Book p.111 and look at the example. Then, do Class book p.111 ex A1, A2 (notebook) and the activity challenge yourself ex.2
This week you are going to learn how to Multiply with decimals numbers. It is very simple, don’t panic! To do this, you must know that it is the same as multilply whole numbers. You just have to count how many decimal places there are in total. Have a look at this picture and read the explanation.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy? So it is time to practice guys!
- Do C.B p.111 ex B1, B2 (book) and B3 a,b,c & d (notebook)
- Also to practise more, do the multiplication worksheet in columns that you can find attached below and as an optional, the colouring squared worksheet: choose the option that you like most (bat or witch).
I am sure that you have understood how to multiply with decimals numbers. Do you remember how to multiply a number by 10, 100 or 1000? YEEES! (ckeck your book the smile multiplication: 4 x 10=40 o 4 x 100= 400).
So now, the next step is to do the same but with decimal numbers (4.2 x 10 = 42 o 4.2 x 100 = 420)
- Watch video Multiplying Decimals by 10, 100 and 1000: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoqGin8OiNg
- Watch video Dividing Decimals by 10, 100 and 1000: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNRrJ6M1wwY
- And do the worksheet: Multiplying and Dividing Decimals by 10, 100 and 1000

See you later alligator!
