Semana del 24 al 28 de Mayo
Hello kids!
We start another topic of Natural Science: The title of unit 7 is: MACHINES
In this unit you are going to learn:
- the difference between simple and compound machines.
- why we use tools and machines.
- tools and machines from the past and today.
- how scientific and technological advances have changed our lives.
Remember guys that it is important to review every day what we learn in class, anyway, I have attached a PDF with a summary of this unit that it might help you with your study. ![]()
SIMPLE MACHINES

OPTIONAL HOWEWORK
⭐ SIMPLE MACHINES ⭐
Simple machines are tools with few or no moving parts that make work easier. There are six types of simple machines: lever, inclined plane, wedge, screw, wheel and axle, and pulley.
Can you think of examples of different simple machines? We’re surrounded by simple machines! And imagine if we didn’t have them? It’s easy to see how they make work easier. How difficult would it be to pull an elevator to the top of a building? It would be impossible for us to do on our own. But with pulleys, it’s possible and makes the work easier.
Use these project ideas as creative (and crafty) demonstrations of simple machines! It can be done individually or in pairs and we can use them as a demonstration for the class. It is a great activity to make at home!
