Semana del 15 al 19 de Marzo
Hi everyone,
We are going to start the unit 14: LENGTH, and we are learning how:
- To estimate and measure length using appropriate metric units.
- Solve problems involving operations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals and simple percentages.
- To convert units of measurements.
- To order length measurements with different units.
Along the coming weeks we will be working on messurement of LENGTH, CAPACITY AND WEIGHT.
This week we will start with LENGTH (longitud). What is LENGTH? The length determines the distance between two points, or in other words, it is the amount of space between two points. For example, the distance between your house and school; or the distance from one end of the table to the other.
- To introduce this concept please watch the following videos:
The main unit for measuring length is the METRE. But there are other units that we can use when measuring different things or distances:

After watching the video, it is practise time
1. Click on the image and it will take you to the website to play.
2. In case it is not working, this is the link: https://www.mundoprimaria.com/juegos-educativos/juegos-matematicas/juego-relacion-unidades-longitud
3. Think before you choose the right option.
4. Use your notebook in case you need help to work out the solutions and convert some units of measurements
5. Last but not least, HAVE FUN! ![]()
