CLIMATE ACTION PROJECT 25-26: C2 APP

Climate Action
2 de novembre de 2025

TASK:

Let’s jump into Week 2 and the effects of climate change!

Week 2: What are the effects of climate change

For Week 2, we will shift from focusing on causes of climate change to thinking on the effects.

1. Getting started:

  • Learn about climate change through our Teacher Guide (curriculum) or watch this video (5 minutes).
  • Lesson plans and Week 2 activities: how to teach about the effects of climate change and what to do during Week 2. Download here.

2. Calls to action:

  • Take a look at contributions from other schools in at least two other countries or even other continents.
  • Submit your students’ findings (video, presentations, websites) and a few images of your students or their work.
  • Submit your effects to our Longest List of Effects.

3. We made an app for your and your students:

What kind of individual, small, every day actions can you and your students take at school or at home? We made a free app “Earth Project” that:

  • Shows actions everyone can take
  • Shows the impacts of your actions
  • Allows you to earn badges, levels and experience
  • Allows you to take actions in groups or keep small challeges between different groups

The app is separate from the educator platform, and it is avaliable for Android and iOS.

The app can be used by both teachers and students. Teachers with young students (under age 13) can create classes and keep track of their students’ actions.Check out this 3-minute video walk-through.

4. You can now claim your personalized Level 1 certificate!

After submitting your Week 1 and 2 activities at the project page, you can download your Level 1 certificate. Find all of your badges and certicates at this page.

TASK PLANNING:

We began by learning about the effects of climate change through the Teacher Guide, the official project videos and the film wall-E.

Then, students downloaded the Earth Project app and started exploring it in class. They discovered how the app encourages users to take small, everyday actions to protect the planet and how it tracks progress through badges and levels.

We discussed examples of visible effects of climate change, such as extreme weather events, droughts, melting ice caps, and the loss of biodiversity.

Finally, students reflected on the importance of individual and collective action and shared their findings on the Climate Action Project platform, contributing to the Longest List of Effects.

Outcome:
Taking Action!
Our class continues its journey in the 2025 Climate Action Project, discovering how climate change affects our world and how we can make a positive impact through awareness and action.
