ETWINNING 25-26 CITIZEN: A11.1 CLEANUP DAY

TASK:

Dear partners, as part of our “Digital Cleanup Day 2026” events, we will introduce our students to the digital waste facts and encourage them to take action to clean up their digital lives.

STEP 1:

We will introduce our students to the digital waste facts. You can use the resources in the links below (Digital Cleanup Day website) to inform your students about digital waste and “Digital Cleanup Day”.

STEP 2:

We will encourage our students to take action to clean up their digital lives. Within this scope, we will launch a “digital waste cleanup” action in our schools. We will be deleting unnecessary digital data (unused photos, documents, emails, apps, etc.) from the digital devices we use at school. We will also be deleting unnecessary digital data from our personal digital devices. Please share your estimated amount of digital data deleted (in GB) at your school as a result of this digital cleanup. Finally, you can share the results of your school’s digital data deletion action in the “SHARE YOUR RESULTS” section of the “Digital Cleanup Day” website.

TASK PLANNING:

The three classes involved in the eTwinning elective are organizing this activity collaboratively. Esther’s class will be responsible for dissemination: they will compose several songs and select one to share on social media. Meanwhile, Àngels Pérez’s students will prepare and manage a calculation sheet to monitor the gigabytes (GB) deleted. Finally, my students (Irene’s class) will guide other students on how to clean up their class accounts on OneDrive, Outlook, and, optionally, their mobile phones.
