Educational Strategy: Collaborative Learning

Final Product: An Earth Day celebration video with advices on how to tackle Climate Change.

Learning Goals: Students learn to utilize AI-assisted tools (Microsoft Copilot) for designing and generating images, enhancing their ability to produce digital content creatively and effectively. Using ChatterPixKids App, students practice digital communication by creating voiceovers for images.

About This Activity:

Creating an “Earth Day” celebration video about Climate Action. All partners will work on both “Task 1” and “Task 2” parts of this activity.

Dear partners, we will complete this activity in 3 easy steps:

STEP 1: In the plenary session, students will watch the videos “Understand Goal 13: Climate Action (Secondary)” and “Climate Action ☀️ SDG 13 🌡️ Sustainable Development Goals for Kids” on Youtube to learn about Climate Action.

STEP 2: Students will create Earth images using “Microsoft Copilot” (or an other AI image generator). Each partner will add the Earth image created by their students to the “Twinspace – Materials – Images – APRIL ACTIVITY – EARTH IMAGES” folder by typing the group name. (Example: Image name – GROUP 1)

STEP 3: Each partner will voice the Earth image created by another school using the ChatterPixKids App and share a message on tackling Climate chanage (e.g. Turn off your electic appliances to reduce CO2). Each partner will add the Earth Day celebrating video created by their students to the “Twinspace – Materials – Videos – APRIL ACTIVITY – EARTH DAY VIDEOS” folder by typing the group name. (Example: Image name – GROUP 1)

To plan this collaborative work, teachers will fill out the table below created in Google Docs.

When the project partners complete their work on the activity, all videos will be combined by the project founders to create an “Earth Day Celebration Video” that includes our messages to tackle climate change.

PLANIFICACIO DE L‘ACTIVITAT:

L’alumnat de 4B actuarà com a coordinador, ajudant a l’alumne 1G a realitzar l’activitat. Aprofitarem el dia abans de les vacances de Pasqua per a fer amb ells i elles una activitat més lúdica, tal i com se’ns ha indicat des de direcció. Es farà un concurs entre tres equips formats per alumnes 1G, on donaran veu al vídeo segons la frase escollida. L’equip que millor es coordine, serà el que posarà la seva veu al vídeo. Els alumnes de 4B preparen diferents imatges, els alumnes 1G escolleixen la seva imatge preferida i els alumnes 4B fant tot el muntatge amb chatterpix, tal i com ens han indicat les nostres companyes del projecte eTwinning.

RESULTAT DE L’ACTIVITAT:

A wonderful collaborative activity to celebrate Earth day with the students of Camelia Timofte from Secondary School “George Emil Palade” in Romania.
Our students (Group 15) created an image using Microsoft Copilot, while we gave voice to the image designed by Camelia’s group (Group 16).
