Final Product:A collaborative presentation about famous women scientists.

Learning Goals:Students learn how to gather and synthesize information from different sources. Students analyze the challenges and contributions of women scientists and explore why gender equality is important in STEM fields. Students develop their ability to communicate information.

About This Activity: 

Creative women of the scientific world

Creating a collaborative presentation about famous women scientists.

Dear partners, we will complete this activity in 4 easy steps.

STEP 1: In the plenary session, students will watch the video “Understand Goal 5: Gender Equality” on Youtube to learn about gender equality.

Next, students will research about women scientists on the Internet.

STEP 2: Students will create a collaborative presentation about women scientists with our project partners using Google Slides. To plan this collaborative work, teachers will fill out the table below created in Google Docs. Project founders will create a presentation template using Google Slides and share it in Twinspace. 

STEP 3:Each partner adds a picture of a woman scientist to the presentation. 

STEP 4:Another partner uses Google Lens to find out who the woman scientist is. Then students investigate the following inquiry questions and write a short description about the woman scientist next to the picture added by the other partner: 

– “What scientific achievements is the woman scientist known for?”
– “What challenges or barriers did she face, and how did she overcome them?”.

En primer lloc ens reunim en els estudiants de 4t per a organitzar l’activitat

Classe: Realitzarem el canva que ens proposen des de la plataforma

Centre: Fira dona científica i exposició organitzada pel departament de Fïsica i Química

Centre participació: Els i les alumnes de 3ESO i 1ESO realitzaran una infografia en AI i la posaran al padlet per al concurs. L’alumnat 4t, equip2, decidirà títol i prepararà les bases.

Entorn: Difusió dels vídeos de la fira Experimenta per a donar a conèixer el paper de la dona científica a la nostra comunitat escolar

El 11 de febrer, dia de la dona i la xiqueta científica el departament de FQ organitza una fira a l’hora del pati per fer difusió de la tasca que realitza la dona també en este camp.

CONCURS AL CENTRE

És el torn de l’alumnat de 3ESO, aquest és el concurs en el que treballaran les aportacions de les dones científiques valencianes utilitzant eines AI.

En aquest padlet pots penjar les teves infografies elaborades amb l’ajuda de l’AI i microsoft (EVA).

Enhorabona a les guanyadores del concurs d’infografies de la dona científica valenciana organitzat pels alumnes de 4B dins del projecte etwinning sustAInable. Les infografies han estat elaborades amb ajuda d’eines d’intel·ligència artificial. La nostra directora ha fet avui entrega del merescut premi. Les guanyadores han segut: Lucia Faustino (1ESOG), Yasmina Balasoiu(1G) i Natalia Padilla(1ESO E). #etwinningschool #sustAInable
