CLIMATE ACTION 25-26: C4 SOLUTIONS
WEEK 4:
TASK:
Let’s get set for Week 4 as we prepare to explore Solutions for Climate Change! This is an exciting part of the project. Students enjoy bringing their ideas, concepts, and even working solutions. A 7-year-old might create a drawing or build a cardboard prototype while a 15-year-old could work on small functional device. Every idea matters!
Next steps:
- Check out the lesson plan for Week 4: New resources and classroom activities.
- Check the curriculum and/or video1 (9 minutes) and video2 (6minutes) about solutions.
- Now it’s your turn! Try to find some solutions with your students. Or, invite your students to work on their own. Don’t forget to submit your work here. This is the first step to securing your Level 2 certificate.
- Be inspired by others! Throught the past years, many teachers have been submitting extraordinary activities like how to create eco-friendly soap, solar lights, bioplastics, banana peel fertiliser, message to a plant, a quiz, and a vertical garden! Find the activities here.
- And don’t forget to submit your own activity if you did something new with your students
- We’d love to see some pictures. Feel free to share a picture of your students’ work. You can find these here.
TASK PLANNING:
The coordinator of the activity chooses three possible solutions for climate change, and the class votes for their preferred one.
ACTIVITY RESULT:
We chose battery collection so we could connect this climate-action project with the eTwinning project Green Citizen, in which we are currently participating.
