Artificial Intelligence – Autonomous Vehicle

From the area of Digital Application of the CIDA and with the aim of boosting experimentation, innovation and digital research in all sectors related to the professional families of vocational training, five introductory kits to Artificial Intelligence have been acquired, consisting of:

  • Radio-controlled car chassis
  • Jetson Nano, a small, powerful computer designed to power basic AI-based applications and devices
  • An attachable camera on the car chassis

The kits were distributed to the following schools:

  • IES El Caminàs de Castellón
  • CIPFP of Cheste
  • IES La Torreta Secondary School in Elche
  • IES Severo Ochoa Secondary School in Elche

In order to familiarising the students of these centres with the processes associated with AI and especially with autonomous driving.

These schools teach several professional fields (Computer Science and Communications, Transport and Vehicle Maintenance, Electricity and Electronics) that could collaborate with each other to achieve that, by applying AI, the model car and, why not, karts or real cars could drive autonomously on a circuit.
